Bad Nutcracker!

Brandon has a collection of Nutcrackers. He has had them for a while. One of the members of this collection is taller than Savannah.

She loves to play with them. And, apparently, the snowman and the large nutcracker where fighting the other day. Savannah had to "separate" them by placing them in different rooms. Then, she had to go back and discipline the large nutcracker. I walk into the room and see her holding the nutcrackers cheeks in her hands (like she says Emma's mom does) and telling him that "WE DO NOT DO THAT! Now you need to be good and apologize to Snowman."

Little Brother

How is Christopher?

GREAT!!

And, cute as can be!!!

Mom'n Tot!

Savannah LOVES tumbling!! She loves the trampoline, ball pool, tucks, the parachute, circle time, swinging on the bar, and especially her cousin Max. For about a year Savannah and I have done a Mom'n Tot tumbling class. It is great! She gets a lot of her energy out and has fun doing it.

This is HALLOWEEN!!!

The Princess, and her little brother, the PEA!

I would like to say that I am not a fan of Halloween. But, lets be honest! Any day where you can go beg the neighbors for YUMMY treats is always a plus in my book!!! Savannah loved chasing the neighborhood kids from door to door. We even got the added bonus of having the cutest little GIRL monkey come with us! Emma, I don't care what the neighbor two doors down thought!

We also went trick-or-treating at the Treehouse Museum. The kids wear their costumes and go around the museum hearing fairy tales and they get little prizes or treats.
Savannah's favorite part . . .

She met Cinderella!

(Savannah was so SHOCKED and EXCITED! Now we don't need to go to Disneyland.)

Second to that, though, was driving the FIRE TRUCK.

Five for Christopher!

This is hard! I feel like I know my children. But, it is hard to think of five things about a baby that isn't pretty common in ALL babies!

1. Christopher already LOVES to suck his thumb. He spits out his binky just to suck on his thumb and knuckles. And, Christopher is very particular about his binky choice. He has to have a certain kind. If I give him a different kind he spits it out and looks at me with one of his fathers inherited "UM, NO!" looks. (you all know that look!)

2. Christopher is so sweet! He loves to be held and cuddled. He is a very calm, great baby.

3. His smile melts his mother!!! Just like his sister, and this could be bias, when he smiles he makes his mom tear up! It is just amazing how they can get you wrapped around their little finger with just a small smile. I LOVE IT!!

4. Ice cream already gives him gas! SERIOUSLY!! (don't ask how I know this!)

5. Last but not least, he has a pair of beautiful blue eyes that only a prince could have!

Sing'n Savy!

This is from February, so it is a little old. But, it always makes me smile!

5 Facts about SAVY!

I've never done this before, but I guess my kids have been tagged. And, since two of my sweet friends tagged them I guess I better get on it!

Five things you wouldn't know about Savannah:

1. She has the squishiest nose I have ever seen!! I think there is no cartilage in the tip of her nose! She can push it almost flat against her face. (I think that came from Brandon's side!)

2. If Savannah could she would eat spicy chips (sunchips) and applesauce for every meal!
And, she LOVES sauces!! Thanks to Uncle Jake she was introduced at a very young age to Ketchup and BBQ sauce. Now when she has fries and chicken nuggest she has to have a little bit of both. And, if left unattended with the BBQ sauce from McDonalds she will just drink it from the container!!!

3. Savannah loves to sing! She knows all the words, and is pretty good with the tunes, of I am A Child Of God, Teach Me, I Love To See The Temple, Families are Forever, Book of Mormon Stories, Popcorn Popping, Nightengale (from Cinderella), Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, and of course, the theme song from The Little Einsteins.

4. Savannah loves order. She loves to put things away. Infact, it is hard when I want to buy her something at the store because she finds something she wants and carries it around with her and then just before checking out she has to go put it back on the shelf where we got it.

5. She doesn't like to be alone. She loves friends! And, Savannah absolutely adores her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!

Her laugh and smile melt her mom and dad's hearts!!!

Little Miss NO FEAR!

Savannah has found her birthday present for next year. She thinks that her parents are actually going to sell her brother and buy her one of those big slides from Sams Club. She absolutely loves it! We are so grateful that the neighbors were able to fit one into their budget so we wouldn't
have to!!

She even started going down head first on her tummy!!! If that wasn't enough to scare her mother, she and her friends decided that the place where you climb up would make a great slide. They would slide down and bounce on the air pocket at the bottom and then bounce into the water.

Did I mention that she is only 2 1/2!!

Dare I ask . . . what will she be doing at 5!?!?!?!

Favorite Princesses

Poor boy is not even a month old and he has already been forced into playing
princesses with his sister!

I was cleaning up the house and Savy was playing by Christopher. When I stopped to check what was going on Savannah informed me that Christopher has TWO favorite princesses. Apparently, he LOVES Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. And, according to Savannah, he likes them to sleep by him. Her excitement about playing princesses with her brother will change quickly once he gets mobile and is biting their heads off!

Christopher is here!

Our family of three is now a family of four!! Christopher joined us Monday July 28th at 4:12 a.m. He was 8 lbs 13 ozs, and 20 1/2 inches long. Like his sister he is so SWEET, and has lots of dark hair!

Savannah loves her little brother and is always so worried about him. She is so helpful and loves to be involved in all the baby stuff.
Her favorite thing about her baby brother, "I love his cute eyes."

Brandon is so proud of his son! We are so grateful that Christopher is so healthy, and (most of the time) a good sleeper!!

Ice Cream!!

If there was any doubt that Savannah was my daughter this picture should clear it up. Not only does the girl love ice cream, cake, basically anything sweet, cottage cheese, chips, and sauces but she is also as messy an eater as her mother!!

Splish Splash!

I was never very good at math, but I do know one equation . . .

Sprinklers + 2 year old = WET and SO MUCH FUN!!!

Savannah loves to play in the sprinklers. She is not affraid of getting wet, even when she gets a sprinkler to the face! Last night we decided to take a little walk to the mailbox, which is really not that far away. About 2 seconds into our short walk Savy was gone! Her dad tried all he could to get her to stop, but she, like always, softened his little heart and he was soon enjoying every minute of watching his girl run.

I love my lighthearted, joyful, beautiful, enjoy every minute, little girl!!!

GOBBLE!! GOBBLE!!

I did it!! I made my first turkey!!! (Melissa, are you proud or what?!) With the help of my sister, and sister-in-law, we made a delicious dinner for my mother. It was the complete Thanksgiving meal, since that it what our mom likes, in the middle of May! I am so proud of us! And, It was mighty TASTEY!!!!

A Potty for A Princess!

Potty training a two year old . . . CHECK!!! Savannah has decided that it is not very princess like to wear a diaper. Being the over zellous first time mother that I am I decided to take her up on her interest. The first few days were okay (lie!). I have never spent so much time IN the potty without being ON the potty!! I was getting sick of that bathroom. But, after MUCH patience and LOTS of bribes we are now diaper free!! YEAH!!! Now, if we can only convince her that princesses don't burp or spit we might have quite the little lady!

OLD Brandon!

Poor Brandon has hit his 28th Birthday! According to him that is old. I think he started out the day wanting to be depressed about it. But, how can he be when his sweet 2 year old daughter told him about all his presents!! Not just general information. We are talking "mommy and I went to the store to buy you a nice shirt." No more surprises at the Barlow home!! At any rate, we are so grateful for Brandon! Happy Birthday!!!
